Triple-digit temperatures didn't stop fans from flooding the Zoo Amphitheatre in Oklahoma City for the INCUBUS Summer tour with support from BADFLOWER and PARIS JACKSON on August 20, 2023.

Her dad is one of the most famous and celebrated musicians to have ever lived, but PARIS JACKSON is making her own way in the music world. Landing an opening spot on a tour like this is a way for her to reach the type of crowd that would appreciate her singer-songwriter, alternative style. Her sound is nothing like that of her late father, but why not create something all her own? It was nice to see her do something completely different than what one might expect, if they hadn’t heard her music previously.

Fans continued to trickle into the venue as BADFLOWER took the stage at the hottest part of the day, however, it didn't stop them from bringing tons of energy. Technical difficulties also plagued the band during their set, but they can't be, and won't be, stopped. "We're like a garage band right now," vocalist Josh Katz joked. Despite a couple obstacles facing them, BADFLOWER put on an excellent show and got the crowd hyped for the main event.

An INCUBUS show is quite the immersive experience and is truly one of the most visually striking shows to attend. Their background visuals add so much to their already special stage performance. There's a reason they've remained relevant since the early 1990s and continue to draw large crowds. They may not be the headbanging type of show that normally gets a crowd hyped up, but they certainly have some catchy, high-energy hits. In my opinion, they're one of the best alternative rock bands to exist. Their live shows make that beyond clear and this one was no exception. They took the stage at dark as the day was finally starting to cool down just a little, but things were really just heating up. INCUBUS live is a magical experience and their set seemed to make the crowd all but forget the sweltering heat.
