GRAVE DIGGER one of the finest Heavy Metal bands from Germany is again touring in Brazil and the opening concert for this Brazilian tour took place in Limeira at the Bar Da Montanha, actually this was their first time playing away from the majors Brazilian capitals so for them it was a new experience and also new grounds to be conquered. They arrived in Sao Paulo one day prior to the concert and I had the pleasure to pick them up at the airport and regardless the long flight they were in good mood indeed.
Concert's day arrived and after some hard work setting up and make sure that everything would run smoothly it was nice to see a big crowd wearing black gathering outside the bar, the weather was perfect, hot as hell and all I need was a few caipirinhas to cool me down. Again lots of headbangers travelled from far away to cheer for their heroes and Metal does united for sure, everyone gathered at bar drinking beers and waiting for the show, for some people it was going to be their first time seeing GRAVE DIGGER, for me it was the third time, first time I saw them it was back in 98 at the Bang Your Head in Germany, still I was very excited as well!! At 10:30pm Mr Reaper appeared on the stage and the crowd went crazy, I don't think anyone was expecting Death to appear from the back stage, cool stuff!!! The show begun with "Hell Funeral" a great display of professionalism and magic, the crowd was in heaven great stuff indeed and sounding was excellent no complaints whatsoever and the atmosphere also very good. Mr. Boltendahl is very charismatic and the way he spoke to the crowd was amazing, he had them at the palm of his hand just like a maestro in control of his orchestra. With "The Round Table" everyone was singing along, actually they sang along with most of the songs; it was an incredible site to see and it was an amazing night not to be forgotten. They played some classics from most albums and everyone was happy, Mr. Boltendahl and company did a fantastic job, very talented musicians and down to earth people as well, fans of RUNNING WILD had a chance to see Mr. Becker on the bass and that was also amazing, very nice guy indeed, actually they all were great people, really nice bunch!
GRAVE DIGGER came to Limeira and they did not know what to expect, they liked what they saw and they were very happy with the reception and everything else, for us it was a great honour to have you guys here in our town and you are very welcome to return;
