The filth hounds were called once more to Bryggeriet in Sandviken. This time new school thrashers ENTRENCH and local Grind Core lunatics CORROSIVE CARCASS were invited to entertain. With newschool I mean in the likes of FUELED BY FIRE or BONDED BY BLOOD, in other words, cheeky Bay Area Thrash Metal. I don't know if too many of the Sandbacka ales dulled me or that ENTRENCH gave up as the crowd was quite thin when they played. That's fascinating with new bands, either they're like the two mentioned above, kick ass all the way or looks cool and sounds awful or it sounds great and is an absolute bore to watch. ENTRENCH was the latter. I think this band can be something in the future and perhaps they're a lot more on a bigger stage. This time they didn't manage to convince me they're a band to be reckoned with in the future.

CORROSIVE CARCASS was more fun to watch though. Everything sounded absolutely chaos but I'm not the one to say anything about this type of music. Grind Core is most of the times a lot of fun to watch but sounds worse than a sweet sixteen slumber party. But one thing I have to give them, if I manage to watch most of their set, with a smile on my face they sure as hell do something right. This band should be classified as Hair Metal though because the occasions when there was a photo opportunity, I mean, at least one eye visible, during the songs could easily be counted on one hand. No, this wasn't the greatest evening at Bryggeriet, the band I thought I would like was boring and the one I didn't like were fun. The ale was extremely strong (you know the Belgian style crazy beer) and tasted better than ever. Not the best combination but it's at least always a lot of fun to be at these events. Always worth going!
