The band was formed in Saint-Petersburg (Russia) in 2006 as Autograder by guitarists Alexander Razhev and Vitaly Mimoladov and was renamed to Zoliborz right before the release of debut EP in 2014. Back to 2006 Alexander Razhev and Vitaly Mimoladov already had their own material which they united to play together. On that time among the main influences to musicians were the following bands: Death, At the Gates, Hypocrisy. The band didn't have a definite lineup but jammed with different local musicians from time to time (for example with some people from Death Instincts band and their friends). Due to absence of regular lineup Autograder didn't have any live gigs but only some amount of unreleased material growing from year to year.

Back to main ideas applied during realization of EP. Firstly the songs based on melodic death and progressive death metal supposed to have extreme vocal. It would have been be natural to hear these songs with such kind of vocal but later on appeared the idea to experiment a bit with clean powerful voices combining them with the aggressive riffing ' a bit more aggressive than is usually used in power or prog metal. This experiment took place in first 2 songs of the album. Another idea ' to use the lyrics not typically 'metal' but not traditional for hard music. Also there was materialized the idea to create a story which supposed to be experienced by the listener together with its author ' the story about a man suffering of hangover after senseless and dull night spent in disco-bar. Next composition - the instrumental 'To Balagopalan Ganapathy' may be interesting from point of view of its creating process. It had been composed by 4 different people. Every of them occasionally demonstrated his ability to play something oriental and the best ideas of these 4 people playing in different spots and in different period had been united into 1 short theme.

So, the main idea to get rid of the eldest material had been realized in this EP 'Poincare Conjecture' and now Vitaly Mimoladov as an only member of Zoliborz looks forward to realize the latest ideas which are much more developed and strong. There is a stock of material enough for a whole LP and the only question is of a right realization of ideas and attracting of good session-musicians with whom Vitaly Mimoladov is targeting to work with.
