Today, Minotauro Records sets August 10th as the international release date for ZERO DOWN's highly anticipated fifth album, Larger Than Death.

Formed in 2002, ZERO DOWN consists of five veteran musicians from the Seattle metal/punk rock scene that cast iron '70s arena rock with classic NWOBHM guitar riffs to bring the old-school metal traditions to the present! Over the past decade and a half, ZERO DOWN has released four scorching slabs of their metal rock (OLD TIME REVIVAL, GOOD TIMES AT THE GATES OF HELL, LOOKING TO START A RIOT, and NO LIMIT TO THE EVIL) and shared the stage with a variety of national acts including UFO, MOTLEY CRUE, DIAMOND HEAD, Y&T, RAVEN, ACCEPT, THE ACCUSED, UDO, MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP, PRONG, HAMMERFALL, and Paul Dianno.

ZERO DOWN is now set in the summer of 2018 to release their second full-length for Minotauro Records titled Larger Than Death on gatefold vinyl with download card. Once again, the band reunited with Martin Feveyear (QOTSA, SCREAMING TREES, Duff McKeagan's LOADED, etc) at Earwig Studios and Feveyear Master Mix in Seattle to lay down a new 10-song opus chock full of vintage early '80s classic heavy metal Anthems. Again, their Snake Charmer mascot will be immortalized in artwork by the master of metal art, Ed Repka (MEGADETH, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, DEATH, MISFITS, etc).

"Hands, er, down, Seattle's ZERO DOWN are America's best unsigned band, and to be that, you gotta have more than one beer-bongin' record of clanging rock god-ness, and well, ZERO DOWN have two, 2005's Old Time Revival and now this Ed Repka-painted ripper!" -Martin Popoff ( &

"Chock full of bombastic blues-rock riffs and cocksure swagger. Imagine how Zeke, Scissorfight, and Airbourne might sound if they got drunk and jammed together. It's classic without sounding dated and reverential without sounding copyist." - Caren Gibson (Metal Hammer magazine)

"This is easily one of the best albums of 2014. No Limit To The Evil is pure metal greatness from one of my favorite bands. If you don't know them, you should." - Waspman (

"This is music for denim vest-wearing holdouts, for beer swillers and true believers, a throbbing, neck-snapping tribute to metal and mirth and good times for all. Splendorous!" - Classic Rockmagazine

"Rocking like the Monsters of Metal mixtape blaring from the headphones of the bully who beat you up in middle school, ZERO DOWN is an everyman's Iron Maiden, writing fist-pumping anthems centered around such topics as Firebirds, booze, and, well, good times." -Kevin Diers (Sound magazine)
