Gothic metal outfit Wormhole is ready to come back with a new record, to be issued on Ghost Record Label/Crashsound. The five piece is currently at the final recording stages of the sophomore album, which comes out with the working title of "Songs From The Counter Island". The record will include nine tracks, in some of which the band has been joined by some of its former members to celebrate Wormhole's first decade of post/dark! The new album is a step forward the previous "The String Theory", with more new wave and dark/gothic influences in it (a trademark of the very beginning of the band) combined with a more direct than ever heavy metal riffing, a straight approach which is the result of the joint effort of all the members. Still, the lyrics are linked together by a new concept: following their unusual visions and nightmares, Wormhole described fragments of everyday life shot in the deepest corners of outer space, brought to us in nine killer tracks. A spaced-out vision on the edge of Gustav Theodore Holst's "The Planets", written one century ago, but from a different point of view: infinitely small fragments within an infinitely large playground. Think about Tiamat meet Diaframma, or Blonde Redhead meet The Gathering, and you'll have a clue of how this record is going to be like! More news will soon follow, as well as a preview sampler for the record. Wait for the brand new destination of Wormhole's Time Tunnel!
