Rising from the crypt, With The Dead have today announced they will play two UK shows ahead of their already announced festival appearances this year. The brainchild of doom royalty, With The Dead released their self titled debut album in 2015 to wide critical acclaim.
As announced last week, With The Dead - who were originally formedby the founding rhythm section of occultist doom overlords Electric Wizard, and former Cathedral frontman, Lee Dorrian - have recently had a line up change. Drummer, Mark Greening, will no longer be performing or contributing to With The Dead.
The new line up will feature former Cathedral bass player, Leo Smee, and former Bolt Thrower drummer, Alex Thomas. This line up practiced together last week in London in preparation of the upcoming shows and a new album to be released later in the year.
With The Dead will play at Deaf Institute, Manchester onApril 10th, and Temple, Birmingham onApril 11th. Support will come fromnew Rise Above Records signings from Fresno, California - Beastmaker; their debut album,LupusNaturae, is releasedMarch 25. Following that, With The Dead will perform at Roadburn Festival, as part of Lee Dorrian's ownRituals for the Blind Deadcurated event. With The Dead are already confirmed to play Hellfest in France, and Revenance festival in Portugal, with more summer festival dates to be announced in due course.

Like the product of some sort of alchemical alignment or a diabolical modern demon summoned by a whispered incantatory spell, With The Dead formed on All Hallow's Eve 2014. They worked quickly and the result is a six-track, self-titled debut broadside that draws on the members' rich musical legacy but without ever taking a backward step.Recorded at Orgone Studios in High Barnet, London, with producer/engineer Jaime Gomez Arellano in late March/early April 2015,With The Dead'svocals were then added in two very short evening sessions in April and May 2015.
