Vienna – the capital city of Austria – already has numerous festivals for every style in music: rock, indie, classic and even hip-hop. But one was truly missing.
Finally Vienna gets what it deserves! Its own extreme metal-festival: the Vienna Metal Meeting! On Saturday 8th of April 2017 the Arena Wien – one of Vienna's most renowned venues – gets loud, very loud! Focusing on Thrash/Death/Black Metal on two stages, with 15 international and national bands the heaviest and blackest event of the year is guaranteed. Eindhoven Metal Meeting's little brother is born!

It is true, The Netherland's finest Death Metal outfit are celebrating their 30[sup]th[/sup]anniversary next year. Death/Doom legends around Mr. Martin van Drunen once again start their attack to ascend the throne of the genre. Be prepared for their first appearance in Vienna after four years!
Batushka (PL) – Infamous Record "Litourgyia":
Batushka are one of the hottest black metal acts out of unholy Poland. The sinister arch-priests are going to perform their legendary unorthodox mass in Austria for the very first time. Do not miss this!

Dark and arcane Blackmetal hailing from Germany. Rarely to be seen live and performing in Vienna for the very first time.
