USINA: Releases First Video Portraying Brazil's Prison Systems
May 30, 2016
Brazilian metallers USINA have just released its new video, "Cadeia" ("Jail", in a free translation), the first single of their upcoming album. The music video was directed by Lucas Siqueira from 20 Age Productions, and it was filmed in the cities of Santos and Guaruja during three months, featuring friends and fans of the band.
"The lyrics describe a part of the reality of the Brazilian prison system", says drummer and founder of USINA, Fabio Minhoca. "The intention of our first clip was just to transform all this chaos in image, with no judgment whether right or wrong, then we choose a gloomy atmosphere."
The song was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered at Electro Sound Studio by Andre Freitas, who has worked with Brazilian renowned and multi-awarded band CHARLIE BROWN JR. It was written by USINA's former singer Andrey Eudes.
USINA was formed in 2004 in Santos, with the proposal of making a heavy and agressive sound with direct lyrics in Portuguese language. The band released its debut EP, "Usineiros Loucos", in 2011.
The new USINAlineup is as follows:Rafael Bloodgrinder(vocals), Tadeu Neto (guitars, ex-ODUM), Bruna Almeida(bass),Fabio Minhoca(drums).
