Swiss Extreme Metal titansTRIPTYKONhave released a new music video for "Tree of Suffocating Souls", the first track from their brilliant 2014 albumMelana Chasmata.

This comes on the eve of the bands first live shows in their native Switzerland in two years, which preludes their European Tour withAT THE GATESandMORBUS CHRON.

The video was directed byPhilipp Hirsch, who has collaborated with the band previously for their videos for "Aurorae" and "Shatter".

TRIPTYKON's singer and guitarist,Tom G. Warrior, said of the new video:

"In producing this footage, we have elected to once again work in partnership with long-standingTRIPTYKON collaborator and director,Philipp Hirsch, in Leipzig, Germany. As intensely minimalist asTRIPTYKON's approach and music are, as perfect and passionate wasPhilippin creating images which combine such minimalism with the required darkness. The night during which most of the images were created was, for many reasons, a truly extraordinary night none of us shall ever forget."
