TOOL: Reported To Have 2 Albums Of Material | Only 5 Songs They Would Release

According toThe Pulse Of Radio,ToolguitaristAdam Jonesreportedly told fans during a meet-and-greet session prior to the band's show this week in Salt Lake City that he, drummerDanny Careyand bassistJustin Chancellorhave been working on new music three days a week. While he said that they have two albums' worth of material prepared, he added that only five of those songs meet the "Toolstandard" and that singerMaynard James Keenanhas yet to write or sing lyrics for anything.
A report onRedditalso states thatJonesplayed the attendees a riff from one of the new songs.
One fan who attended said thatJonesexplained aboutKeenan's involvement: "Once 90% of the instrumentals are there,Maynardcomes in to write (that's howMaynardlikes to work)."
There is still no timetable for the newToolalbum's release or even the beginning of its recording sessions.
