The Linköping-basedfestival was founded last yearas a five-year anniversary of the record label Gaphals. The festivalhad
900 visitors over two days and most of the bands as visitors claimed it to be a great success. As the crew behind Gaphals started up their new label The Sign Records to focus on things hard/rock the festival evolved into it's new form and name.

The Sign Festival takes place at the Crypt in Linköping. The venue has two stages and has been active for about two years time and have hosted shows with band's as Ghost when they changed pope, Mustasch, Backyard Babies, Hurula, Bob Hund and many more. The venue is one of Linköping's most popular and is integrated with the Pitchers Pub. A new dancefloor will open up in march where DJ Pussydevil and DJ Rockadelica will give us the best rock music during the festival.

Linköping is about two hour south of Stockholm, three hours to the east from Gothenburg or four hours to the north from Malmö. It's easy to travel to Linköping, there is a small airport in the city as well as in the twin-city Norrköping. Major airport Skavsta/Stockholm is about one hour away with direct connection and also Arlanda airport is connected to the city with trains. The E4 autobahn runs through Linköping.
The festival is located in the town center and there are several hotells, hostels andrestaurants in the near area. Linköping it self is a great rock city with where band's as Ghost, Märvel, Dead Soul,Night, Nocturnalia, Hällas, Oblivious have their home.
