THE MUGSHOTS & Mortiis ' the legendary dark elf of norwegian Metal ' are proud to introduce their own version of In The Darkness, the 1989 classic tune by seminal occult rockers Death SS. The cover has been exclusively recorded for the Terror Tales tribute, produced by veteran label Black Widow Records and released on Halloween, October 31, 2018.
The song (mastered by Death SS' Freddy Delirio) is some sort of a mini-musical influenced by the production experience lived by THE MUGSHOTS back in 2012 with Dick Wagner, Alice Cooper's right hand during the late Seventies.
Mortiis said: "I've been the first ' together with Samoth from Emperor ' to listen to Death SS in Norway. It was 1991 and we discovered something on a tape, I think it was a picture of Heavy Demons, with the face prosthetics and the make-up. We thought: "Holy shit! Who the fuck are these guys?" I am honored to be part of it and I hope people will like it! We did something somehow experimental with the vocals, but I think overall we remained faithful to the original atmosphere!"

Terror Tales - A Tribute To Death SS will be released as 3 CD and 4 LP, along with a strictly velvet limited edition (66 copies).
