Senescent Signsis an album without weaknesses, with each song offering something magical in its wandering guitar melodies, staggeringly heavy riffs, bleak atmospheres and mesmerising structures. These songs retain the gravitas and power of the past, but with an atmosphere of sadness, an aching grief and waves of melancholy that have rarely been heard before. New vocalist Matt Small has stepped into the void left by long-standing front man James Moore, bringing an unprecedented edge of raw emotion to The Drowning's sombre sound and the band have responded by creating the heaviest, yet most beautiful, album to bear their name.

This is not just another doom/death album. This is the sound of a band coming into their full power, realizing their full potential and creating something very special indeed.

Prepare to be swept away by the flood. Prepare for the irresistible power of The Drowning.
