In the two-minute video clip below,TESTAMENTbassistGreg Christianis filmed at home, demonstrating how to play the intro to the band's song"Souls Of Black". He's playing through aRolandmicro-cube with about a four-inch speaker that he says "is not really designed to play a bass through so the sound isn't very good."

TESTAMENThas set"The Dark Roots Of Earth"as the title of its new album, tentatively due in October viaNuclear Blast Records. The CD is currently being recorded with British producerAndy Sneap, who has previously worked with MEGADETH,EXODUS,ARCH ENEMY,NEVERMOREandMACHINE HEAD, among others.

Due to a "serious injury," drummerPaul Bostaphwas unable to take part in the new album recordings but will rejoinTESTAMENTfor future touring activities. Playing drums on the follow-up to 2008's"The Formation Of Damnation"isGene "The Atomic Clock" Hoglan(ex-DARK ANGEL, ex-STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, FEAR FACTORY,DETHKLOK), withLAMB OF GOD'sChris Adlerset to make a special guest appearance on a couple of bonus tracks.
