TAU CROSS, the veteran punk / metal collective revolving around Amebix bassist/frontman Rob Miller, Voivod drummer Michel 'Away' Langevin, and members of cult crust outfit Misery, has announced that it will be performing at Roadburn 2016 on Saturday, April 16th at the 013 venue in Tilburg, The Netherlands! TAU CROSS will be sharing the main stage with post-metal visionaries and Relapse alumni NEUROSIS, who will be celebrating their 30th anniversary at the festival. TAU CROSS's Roadburn performance is a one-off show, and is the band's only confirmed EU performance to date. Said vocalist/bassist Rob Miller,

TAU CROSS's eponymous debut full-length (released via Relapse in April 2015) has a style that melds together acts like Killing Joke, Motorhead and New Model Army; however, the band is without a doubt a beast of its own, and the album is quite difficult to pin down from a musical perspective. Rob Miller's heroic croak is set right at the sinister heart of the band's sound, which evokes "the two changing faces of the United Kingdom: on the one hand, raw natural beauty and years of tradition and culture; on the other, the relentless grinding of machinery and technological advancement," according to Invisible Oranges. Unsurprisingly, TAU CROSS's debut album had no trouble causing quite a stir, due in no small part because of its ability to appeal to a wide range of musical extremities, from post-punk to doom and protest-folk to metal.

Tau Cross is available for physical purchase via Relapse HERE, and is available for streaming and digital download via the band's Bandcamp page HERE.

Info/Bio:

TAU CROSS is an underground punk/metal union of the highest caliber. Formed in 2013 across two continents and three countries, the band is the natural evolution of Rob Miller's work in Amebix. Tribal rhythms, searing guitars and Miller's huge booming voice are all set to an apocalyptic atmosphere that will satisfy the crustiest punks as well as the blackest metallers. TAU CROSS refuses to be pigeonholed, affirming the respective legacies of its members ' the band delves into the realms of gothic rock, industrial, early doom, post-punk, and prog rock alongside its crust & thrash roots. The band's self-titled debut was recorded in 2014 and released in May 2015, and immediately found widespread critical reception. Cvlt Nation called TAU CROSS "a thundering sonic journey, conjuring magick and darkness from the listener's soul," and Metal Injection stated, "Tau Cross has absolutely killed it and we are all better off for having this album in our collective lives," while Invisible Oranges described the record as "never losing a penchant for strong songwriting" and warned listeners to "ignore it at your own peril." TAU CROSS may have set a high standard for its first record, but if the band has proven anything so far, it's that it's incredibly skilled at meeting ' and exceeding ' expectations.
