SWEET APPLE, the band of rockers featuring J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr., Heavy Blanket), Tim Parnin (Cobra Verde, Chuck Mosley), John Petkovic (Cobra Verde, Death of Samantha, Guided By Voices) and Dave Sweetapple (Witch, Vardlokk) release their new LP The Golden Age of Glitter today. The LP is the follow up to the band's critically celebrated debut Love & Desperation, a record that showcased "70s arena rock-like songs" (Pitchfork) and presented "one stomp box in the power pop of their youth, one in the heavy indie thud they invented" (SPIN). The 10-song power-pop masterpiece features guest appearances from Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees, Queens Of The Stone Age), Robert Pollard (Guided By Voices) and others.

With the new album now in stores, SWEET APPLE today releases their new music video "Boys in Her Fanclub" via NPR, who adds that, "Sweet Apple exists in an alternate universe where power-pop worships at the altar of Thin Lizzy instead of Big Star." The video was directed by SWEET APPLE singer John Petkovic and award winning director / screenwriter Jeff Feuerzeig ("The Devil and Daniel Johnston", ESPN Films) and features the band "performing" inside of the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA while Petkovic parachutes into the stadium!
