Though unknown its true origins, the exotic rhymes known as 'raivaru' of the Maldives, epitomyses the poetic and linguistic artistry of the tranquil islands.

In days past, the islanders chanted to therapeutic melodies, these verses composed of 'dhivehi akuru', scattered and unconventional to the spoken dialects, a poetic riddle skillfully unraveling the meaning at the completion. They conversed and expressed desires, thoughts and emotions the islanders, when going about their daily routines.

Although used by artists in fusion to various genres, our inspiration comes from the ethnic folk compositions of the legendary band zero degree atoll. The complexity of the riddled verses bound together by rhythmic harmony in their music incited the question of 'what if?'.

What if we bound these timeless rhymes to the dour, powerful, expulsion of a distortion guitar complemented by enchanting synths and indulging bass and percussion?.
The unveil, a composition so hauntingly beautiful, with elements of doom, goth and symphonic metal entwined by the enchanting voice reciting words divulged in the linguistic principles and melodious intricacy of the riddled verses or Raivaru.
