At last: The advance sales for ROCK IM REVIER begins! On Thursday, April 9 at 9am! ROCK IM REVIER takes the world's most awesome Rock bands to the Ruhr Valley. METALLICA, MUSE, KISS and many mega acts from the Rock circus come to the Veltins Area from May 29 to 31.

Up to 70 bands will shake the arena on three days at the end of May. It will rock with internationally renowned bands such as Metallica, Faith No More, Within Temptation and many others on Friday, May 29, Muse, Incubus, Limp Bizkit, The Hives and many others on Saturday, May 30 and Kiss, Judas Priest, Airbourne, Five Finger Death Punch and many others on Sunday, May 31. Apart from the band Kreator, which performs already six days before in the region, the line-up originally confirmed for "Der Ring ' Grüne Hölle Rock" has not changed.

The main stage is in the Veltins Arena on which artists will perform until 11pm ' if the weather is fine, of course open air. The second stage is located on the same site at the Emscher-Lippe Hall; an application for a further open air stage on the site has already been made.

In the interest of the fans, foods and beverages can be purchased with both cash and the payment system of Schalke 04, the Knappen card. For campers, generous campgrounds will be available nearby. Since the negotiations are nearing conclusion, details will be published before long. A complimentary shuttle service will take the fans to the location and guarantee a smooth and uncomplicated organization. A top sound will be ensured. Extensive measures to optimize acoustics in the arena are planned. Between the inner area and the stands, the walls have, for instance, been insulated with acoustic materials etc. The sound engineer who demonstrated his skills already during the Metallica performance at the Veltins Arena is again part of the team.

Tickets for ROCK IM REVIER cost EUR 69,- incl. all fees per day. 3-day tickets at a price of EUR 179,- are likewise available.

The Veltins Arena at Schalke has a long Rock tradition and has written Rock history with legendary shows and many leading bands of world renown; it enjoys an excellent reputation on the Rock scene. For ROCK IM REVIER the arena roof will be opened if the weather is fine so that a unique open air atmosphere will be created. In the event of rain, every visitor will have the guarantee of a dry place.

All tickets for the former "Der Ring ' Grüne Hölle Rock" will be valid for the interior area of ROCK IM REVIER, so that best places will be guaranteed. Those who have other plans, can exchange their tickets for "Der Ring ' Grüne Hölle Rock" for tickets for ROCKAVARIA in Munich or return them where they were purchased.
