Northern Symphony Festival, the UK's first ever symphonic metal festival, is set to take place on 4th April at The Venue in Selby. Already confirmed for the bill are doomsters Scandelion and cybernetic metal duo Quietus.

Recently announced to join them at the UK's first ever symphonic metal festival are southern power metallers and lovers of all things cake: Powercake - Who unfortunately don't actually sing about cake. Having already played a few shows in the north of England, including 2013's Valkyrian Festival, Powercake are excited to be returning to the north. The band's frontman Joseph O'Flaganan comments:

It's a huge honour and an exciting opportunity for Powercake to be playing Northern Symphony - Especially with two fantastic bands that have already been announced. We look forward to playing for our Northern fans next year.

Tickets for Northern Symphony Festival are available for the early bird price of £8 from https://vmevents.bigcartel.com. More information on the fetsival can be found at facebook.com/NorthernSymphony
