Launched from the mountain town of Kimberly, Canada, PHAETON released their debut self-titled album this past December. In support of the release, the band has launched a playthrough video for their track 'Labyrinth'. In this video, the viewer is taken through 4 minutes of instrumental prog metal with spacey riffs and melodic bass lines. Without the addition, one is able to be completely enveloped in the cumulation of years of hard work from these talented musicians. As part of their modus operandi, they aspire to take their fans "through space and time and feel a complete visceral release that can only be found through prog metal." Fans of anything technical and dreamy will take a liking to PHAETON's 'Labyrinth' as it follows in the footsteps of Rush, Dream Theater, and King Crimson. Watch 'Labyrinth' at the following on TechnicalMusicReview link: https://technicalmusicreview.com/2019/05/29/official-premiere-of-phaeton-labyrinth-guitar-bass-playthrough/ https://phaetonband.bandcamp.com/releases 'March of the Synthetics' (Bass & Guitar Playthrough):

Since 2017, they have been working quickly as a collaborative unit, honing their skills and orchestrating an attention-focused listening experience. One drenched in joy and wonder and the emotional, visceral release that only prog-metal can deliver. And the lack of lyrical interference only allows the listener the better opportunity to let their imaginations run wild with the music, drifting emotionally away on the solar winds to wherever they wish to soar. Phaeton can be experienced with the release of the self-titled debut album out now as of December 21, 2018. "Top-tier instrumental prog-metal-math music from the East Kootenay region performed by a quartet of veteran musicians." ' Stuart Derdeyn (The Vancouver Sun) "The sound on all seven tracks is huge and if there was a "best sounding hammer-ons" award then March of the Synthetics could be a contender." ' Stuart Derdeyn (The Vancouver Sun) "An epic Progressive Metal listening experience." ' Trevor Hatter (BeatRoute Magazine) "This badass band makes a devastating impact with their high velocity musical assault." ' Time Lord (Progarchy) "A sparkling, sizzling debut from PHAETON, taking us on a futuristic musical journey, with deep roots in the ancient past."
