Like a butterfly out of a cocoon, 2014 sees the metamorphosis of Germany's Beastival into Out & Loud Festival. With an absolutely phenomenal line-up that has something for everyone, this year's festival is marked by numerous highlights, guaranteeing a delectable and debaucherous party for all. Headlined by the legendary BLIND GUARDIAN, with Out & Loud marking their only German festival appearance in 2014, other big names to look out for in this deluge of amazing acts includes everything from the Viking hordes of AMON AMARTH, to the classic masters SAXON, from the blasphemies of BEHEMOTH, to the brutality of VADER, and the virtuosos SEPULTURA. Wow, that's a decent line-up I hear you say? It gets even better! This first Out & Loud Festival also sees the 30 year anniversary shows of both DORO and RAGE. In addition to that, POWERWOLF are now also hitting the double digits, with Out & Loud bearing witness to their 10 year anniversary show. FLOTSAM & JETSAM also have something special up their sleeves, with plans for their set to include tracks from their 1988 masterpiece "No Place for Disgrace", which was recently released in its new recorded version by Metal Blade Records.
Sounds incredibly sweet, doesn't it? Well, here is the coup de grace for all fans of the legendary German Heavy / Gothic Metal titans DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER: After having put on an amazing performance at Beastival last year, 2014 sees them gracing the stage in Geiselwind once more. But this show will be extra special: not only will they be performing the release show for their upcoming double album, they are also doing an acoustic set during the opening party! And just to take things one step further, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER will be giving an exclusive fan listening a full two days before the release of the album, are offering the opportunity to buy the new album at midnight on the day of its release complete with a signing session, and to top it all off, there will be 100 litres of free beer!
With the opening party heating things up on the 28[sup]th[/sup] of May, the festival runs from Thursday 29[sup]th[/sup] of May (a public holiday) to the 31[sup]st[/sup] of May.
