PlanetMosh[/url]conducted an interview with Dutch singerFloorJansen(NIGHTWISH,REVAMP) at this year's edition of theBloodstock Open Airfestival, which was held August 7-10 at Catton Hall, Walton-On-Trent, West Midlands, United Kingdom. You can now listen to the chat using the audio player below.

Asked if there are any plans forREVAMPto begin work on a third album,Floorsaid that the follow-up to last year's"WildCard"was "a long way off." She explained: "That is unfortunate forREVAMP, but I cannot do things at the same time, I realize that. So I cannot work on aREVAMPalbum when I tour withNIGHTWISH. And I cannot do anyNIGHTWISHstuff when I'm touring withREVAMP. Things have to be [done] in periods. So theREVAMPperiod of one year has been there, and it will have to stop, because I've already started rehearsing for the new album withNIGHTWISHand we'll start recording pretty soon, and that will be my focus. I can maybe do little side projects here and there, if it doesn't take too much of my creative energy. But making a new album, of course, will [require a lot of my time and effort], and it would be nice to focus on that entirely. So we'll see what the future brings. I have not made any decisions of when and where, and neither did the rest of the band. I mean, we're six people and everyone has their time and schedules and maybe things will happen. But the success ofREVAMPis clear. We've sold a lot of albums, we've done very good tours, and wherever we play, we get a very positive response, and that's something that would be very nice to keep!"

She added: "I'm very happy with what I can bring intoNIGHTWISH, but I will probably want to keep on writing things. And that can take many forms as well."

JansentoldAbout.com HeavyMetalabout the songwriting process for"Wild Card": "WhenAFTER FOREVERstopped, I didn't want to first find a band, then see if I could write with them, figure that whole thing out, then record an album. Instead I worked with people I knew would be good songwriters out of an idea how I thought it would sound like. So I worked with a German guitar player (Waldemar Sorychta) andJoostvanden BroekfromAFTER FOREVER. We wrote the album and played on it and hired a drummer. That's basically how it was done. Then I formed a band with the current lineup. The ambition was to continue as a band and start writing. The cool thing is that it worked. Mainly the guitaristJord(Otto), keyboardistRuben(Wijga) and myself came up with all the ideas.Joostbecame the supervisor of the whole songwriting process and producer of the album."

Jansenmade her live debut as the frontwoman ofNIGHTWISHon October 1, 2012 at Showbox Sodo in Seattle, Washington following the abrupt departure of the band's lead singer of five years,Anette Olzon.
