Entertainment One, in association with Metropolis Studios, present The Rock Screen, a new series of Rock documentary & live DVD releases for 2015. Iconic Scottish rock band Nazareth, who hail from Dunfermline, are the first of the bands to feature in the series and are offering fans and media the chance to attend an exclusive intimate VIP gig that will also be filmed as part of the forthcoming documentary and live DVD release.

Nazareth started in the late 60's/early 70's and were pioneers of a distinctive and definitive rock 'n ' roll sound which had a massive influence on many of the great rock bands that followed - most notably Axl Rose and Guns n Roses, who recorded a cover of 'Hair of the Dog' on 'The Spaghetti Incident' album.

Releasing their eponymous debut album in 1971 and touring with the likes of Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, Nazareth quickly established their credentials as one of Britain's greatest hard rock bands.

Their breakthrough album Razamanaz in 1973 spawned 2 Top 10 hits: 'Broken Down Angel' and 'Bad Bad Boy'. Following this they recorded the Boudleaux Bryant penned ballad 'Love Hurts,' which was first recorded by the Everly Brothers and then Roy Orbison. Nazareth's version shot to number one in 6 countries and saturated radio airwaves all over the world!

Over the years the band has gone through a number of line-up changes, but Bassist Pete Agnew has remained constant throughout and will be performing at the intimate Metropolis Studios gig alongside his son Lee Agnew (Drums) and Jimmy Murrison (Guitars). Pete said: "The band are really up for this DVD. We're looking forward to recording in such an intimate setting where we can see every person in the audience up close -and we have been laying bets as to who those people will be. Knowing our very loyal fans, I'm guessing we'll know most of them by name so it will be not so much a gig, but more a private party"

Vocals are by newcomer Linton Osborne, an accomplished rock singer who also comes from Dunfermline and has been a friend of the band's for many years. His joining the band came about when original singer Dan McCafferty had to retire in 2013 due to ill health.

Also attending the gig and being interviewed for the documentary will be renowned artist Rodney Matthews who has designed the sleeve artwork for the forthcoming Nazareth DVD release. Rodney will be giving a talk on the day about his artwork and there will also be an exhibition of Rodney's work at Metropolis for one month covering a range of his rock album covers, including his seminal artwork for Nazareth's 1978 album 'No Mean City'.
