For those who know Lariyah from her previous years as a front woman from Chicago's rock scene, featured in Revolver Magazine's Hottest Chicks of Metal and a model of a year of Guitar World, this time she surprises you with a big punch in your face with her powerful music that stands out from the modern hard rock / metal scene. We dug into it deeper and asked her about it in detail. Here is what she responded:

"I've learned a lot from my previous years of live performances, and I've learned that following someone else's idea and not being able to show what is truly inside you will eventually destroy the idea and meaning of it. I am truly honored to be able to play for thousands of people with some amazing acts, but my heart we not where it should be. I do not want to sing about love or hate or simple feelings only, I want my lyrics to be meaningful and leading. I want them to be a mirror of who I am inside and what message I have for others. I refuse to follow current trends. I have a mission in this world. I am an artist and art is not worth anything if it's not creative and straight from the heart. Music is art and art needs to be scandalous and controversial. Needs to steal attention and be both loved and hated, not neutral. Now, lyrics .. yes they are straight up occult because this is what fulfills my existence and there are too many bands writing about the same problems or emotions anyways, so why would I adjust to that too? To be popular? No. I sing from my soul and my soul belongs to the darkness, and the darkness makes my life complete.

Khaotika is currently about to be ready to hit their first live shows with the final line up: Lariyah on vocals, Surg - guitars, Balor - guitars and vocals, Moloch - bass and backing vocals, Dyret - battery.
