These are erratic songs of rage, songs to invoke the primal fear within you, songs that will seduce your dark passenger, causing you to dance alongside us. These are lyrical themes of angst and anguish, brought forth from the bleak lives that each and every single human leads, presented in cacophanous voice. We are Monasteries

Monasteries announced joining US based label Seek And Strike Records on the 28th January, and join an amazing roster with bands such as Upon A Burning Body and Orbit Culture. The bands video premiered with Knotfest. The band have previously had coverage with the likes of Metal Hammer, Idobi Radio, Primordial Radio, Slam Worldwide and more. The band have previously toured the UK and Europe extensively with the likes of Sea Of Treachery, I Declare War and Nexilva, and have upcoming shows with Gassed Up, Acrania, Within Destruction, Tenside and many more. The band release the first single 'Allowing Your Traitors To Die' from their upcoming EP on the 29th January and plan to make a big impact with the new material.

Speaking about the first single Aaron Wright says - "Lyrically, 'Allowing Your Traitors to Die' is a bleak realisation that there are no angels in any type of relationship; whether that represents friendship, love or family ties. There isn't always a singular entity to blame, we can always be as bad as one another, and we have to admit that. Whether we show our toxic traits out of spite or not, we have to welcome our mistakes with open arms, admit them and improve. It represents the toll that this takes on us on a day to day basis, and how this can influence our thoughts to become more sinister, more visceral. Musically, AYTTD is the product of Monasteries wandering along more unbeaten paths. It meanders through different genres, some dark and heavy, some light and melodic, but always retains the chaotic Monasteries tech-death sound. We're incredibly proud of what we've achieved here musically, the song almost feels like a product of all the hard work and challenges that we've faced so far, we hope that everyone enjoys listening just as much as we did creating it.

"Into Darkness, We Sink Below"

On signing to Seek And Strike Records, Aaron Wright says - "Monasteries are more than proud to announce that we are now signed to the incredible Seek & Strike label. Together, we will be releasing our next 5 track EP "Silence", and will continue to work with them on a number of exciting projects in the future."Silence" is presented as Monasteries' most eclectic work to date, seamlessly weaving together elements of endless genres previously unexplored by the band, such as Doom, Melodic Black Metal, and Drum & Bass, while retaining the furious and chaotic technical deathcore sound that Monasteries have become known for. It's a violent piece of sound born from years of hard work and experimentation, which we believe distances Monasteries even further from the typical conventions of what to expect from a Deathcore band.Because we are so proud of the upcoming release, we needed to make sure that we worked together with a label that was professional, experienced, exceptional, and not afraid to work outside the box themselves. When the opportunity to align with Seek & Strike came, we knew that we'd found our perfect match.

This is just the beginning.
Everything is born from Silence."
