MIRROR QUEEN: New Video; European Tour.
April 17, 2018
NYC volume dealers MIRROR QUEEN have premiered a brand new video as they embark on a European tour that leads up to their appearance at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, The Netherlands. The rock quartet will be heading out on the road with Norwegian band, Lonely Kamel for five dates - including a free Roadburn warm up show.
The new track, Inviolate, is premiering via The Obelisk, and is slated for a 7" release in the near future, with the B-side comprising of a cover of This Is My Song by Scorpions. The accompanying video was created by NYC based mixed media artist Simona Prives, whose collagist abstractions match the expansive, dreamy, and gritty music; imagery and impressions plucked from the streets of New York and the landscapes of our evermore cluttered minds.

Last October, MIRROR QUEEN released their latest long player, Verdigris, via Tee Pee Records. A masterclass of riff-driven melodic hard rock, the LP is the follow-up to the band's 2015's LP, Scaffolds of the Sky. Tracks from both LPs are sure to feature heavily on the tour set lists.
Vocalist, Kenny Kreisor, comments:
"Inviolate is a straight-ahead rocker with big choruses and a bit of prog flair. It's appropriate that we're playing the Netherlands the week this song is set to be unveiled, as mid-period Golden Earring unexpectedly popped up as an influence when arranging the song.
"B-side This Is My Song is our reverent take on an underappreciated early Scorpions track. I'm hoping to play this one at my favorite bash in my favorite little town, Tilburg's Roadburn Festival."
A mainstay in the NYC hard rock scene, MIRROR QUEEN has shared the stage with heavyweight peers such as Earthless and The Shrine and toured Europe with legends such as Uli Jon Roth and UFO. The group's driving music accelerates at the distinct point where NWOBHM and heavy Prog Rock intersect; a direct and definite delineation of an era when urgent metallic sound was the order of the day.
Combining edgy, street-level rock 'n' roll with more cerebral elements of poetry and literature, MIRROR QUEEN rides hard and loud, kicking out the jams at every opportunity. Featuring additional guitars from SWANS six-stringer Norman Westberg, Verdigris is a rock monolith, all dark delight and sinister pleasure, that demands headbanging and fists raised to the sky.
MIRROR QUEEN and Lonely Kamel will play the following shows:
4/13 Onsabrück, DE Westwerk
4/14 Siegen, DE Vortex
4/15 Brussels, BE Magasin 04
4/16 Nijmegen, NL Merleyn
4/17 Tilburg, NL Little Devil - free show
4/19 Tilburg, NL Roadburn Festival - no Lonely Kamel
MIRROR QUEEN features Kenny Kreisor (guitar, vocals), Jeremy O'Brien (drums), Morgan McDaniel (guitar) and James Corallo (bass).
