MINUS LIFE: Present "Manipulation of the Masses."

Since re-forming last year, Brisbane metal band Minus Life have been working hard on writing and releasing new music, and to reinvent themselves in today's metal landscape. And today, they are very happy to release their new single and video for Manipulation Of The Masses!
Minus Life are a band that once dominated in the Australian scene until they announced their hiatus in 2007, and since re-forming they have had to overcome new obstacles and challenges thrown at them. But they haven't let these slow them down or deter them from their goal of taking over the metal world and their newest single Manipulation Of The Masses is proof that Minus Life are back, bigger and better than ever before.
This particular track, Manipulation Of The Masses is actually one of two new songs and was recently added to their live show. It also closes the door on the previous chapters of Minus Life as while it is new for fans, it is actually a song they worked on twelve years ago but it was never recorded or released.
The response has been huge and is what prompted Minus Life to create this clip, to give you an idea of just how energetic and hard-hitting their live sets are. The video was filmed at one of their most recent gigs, to a sold-out crowd at the Woolly Mammoth in Brisbane, by Crackerjac Pictures.
The song itself focuses on government corruption and control over our minds by the media and religion.
"The song Manipulation of the Masses is based on systematic control by media, religion and government corruption. How money, especially debt, is an unbroken cycle in modern society. Consumerism is what keeps the economy growing, we are told this by government and media corporations," explains vocalist Scott Moss.
"This money and debt is accessible with a simple tap or swipe of plastic, but this financial stress tears families and communities apart. The apparent fulfillment of buying newer technologies only to become addicted to online socialisation, disconnecting from the real world and living in the virtual. The manipulation of our society to feel helpless by money-making corporations and governments, that are built on greed off the backs of the general population,".
Minus Life have some big shows lined up for the remainder of 2019, including the monster Brisbane festival, Dead of Winter, where they will definitely be performing Manipulation Of The Masses, alongside all the rest of the Minus Life classics!
