MAXDMYZ: Announce New Bass Player, First Gigs of 2019 and Recording of New Album!
November 30, 2018
It may seem that things have been uncommonly quiet in the world of sonic rebels MAXDMYZ over the last few months, with just a low key appearance at Ratel Fest in London as evidence of their continued existence. However, behind the scenes the band couldn't have been busier. Back in May MAXDMYZ parted ways with their bass player, Arek and the search for a suitable replacement has been a long and arduous one ' but we can finally announce that the perfect man for the job has been found!
Jamison Nes is now charged with supplying the bottom end to the alchemical metal of MAXDMYZ. A veteran of both the UK and the US metal scenes, earning a reputation for formidable four string firepower with the likes of LAUGHING BRICK, BRIK, THE GLORYHOLE, SUPERNAUT 17, CONTROL ME NOT, LOCUS, HEADZERO and previous Imperative PR artists Designs Of Chaos, Jamison brings the exact combination of experience, enthusiasm, passion and ability that MAXDMYZ demand. Speaking about his new role Jamison said...
"It's been a pretty steep learning curve just getting my head around the dozen or so tracks on the new album, but also loving the band's vibe, and happy to be contributing already in terms of writing, both on bass and backing vocals."
And it won't be long before MAXDMYZ fans get to see Jamison in action as the band have their first live dates for 2019 already booked. On January 18th MAXDMYZ will be at the Underworld in Camden as part of a stellar bill that will be helping friends DIE KUR to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Also appearing will be ANOXIDE, Apophis and The Heretic Order on what promises to be one incredible show. Then looking ahead to March, MAXDMYZare booked for a return to the Renaissance Alternative Music Festival, at the Electrowerkz in London. When the band last appeared at the Renaissance Festival, Zero Tolerance Magazine described their performance as "stunning" - and we are expecting an even more exciting performance this time.
March is going to be a busy month for our warriors of the airwaves, because on top of their Renaissance appearance they will be heading to the legendary Parlour Studios to record their new full length album! Early indications are that MAXDMYZ will be sounding harder, meaner, leaner and heavier than ever before on this next release.
So please welcome Jamison Nes to the MAXDMYZ tribe and get ready for the silence to be broken in spectacular fashion in 2019!
