MANFRED MANN'S EARTH BAND: To perform in Israel this coming September

It is official, Progstage Productions just booked the legendary Rock band, MANFRED MANN'S EARTH BAND, which will be performing in Amphitheater WahHall, Tel Aviv, Israel, this coming September.
The veteran band, one of the biggest acts of the 60s and 70s, was founded by the Southern African keyboardist, Manfred Mann (original name is Manfred Leibovitz) in the beginning of the 60s.
Its first incarnation was among the many covers' performances of great artists that soon became giant hits. This early incarnation performed some of its biggest hits, "Mighty Quinn", "Pretty Flamingo" and "Do Wah Diddy Diddy". The second incarnation, heading to the 70s, songs like "Spirit In The Night" and "Blinded By The Light" turned gold. Both were originally performed by Bruce Springsteen.
Mann, which is considered to be one of the top keyboardist in Rock, left South Africa in 1961 to Britain, due to its protest against the Apartheid regime. Other than his musical activity as MANFRED MANN and as MANFRED MANN'S EARTH BAND, he also released two Jazz albums under the moniker of MANFRED MANN'S CHAPTER THREE, which both considered as profound classics.
For the coming performance in Israel, the lineup will consist to major figures in the band's legacy: First, Manfred Mann himself, as both vocalist and keyboardist, Mick Rodgers, which has been a part of the band since 1971. Alongside the two icons there will be Robert Hart (Vocals), Steve Kinch (Bass) and Jimmy Copley (Drums), which played with Jeff Beck and TEARS FOR FEARS among others.
