Berlin/London based heavy doom rock band, Lucifer, have confirmed that they will be heading out on a UK tour with pioneering doom legends, Paradise Lost. Also joining the tour this autumn will be Tribulation.
In addition to this, the final band for Lucifer's headlining London show in early September has been confirmed as progressive rockers, Saturn. The Swedish four piece will join their label mates, acid folk troupe Galley Beggar, as Lucifer's support acts at The Borderline, London on September 3rd.
Of the news, Lucifer vocalist, Johanna Sadonis commented: "We in Lucifer are extremely excited to embark on our first European tour supporting the legendary Paradise Lost. Lucifer is also delighted to play London for the first time along with our label mates Saturn and Galley Beggar. London is our other home so this will be a most memorable night for us!"
Saturn guitarist/vocalist Robin Tindebrink commented: "We're just really excited and honoured that we're invited to do a show together with Lucifer and Galley Beggar. It's our first show in the UK so it's going to be amazing. Prepare for some classic hard rock and beer drinking!"
Following the premature demise of The Oath, Johanna Sadonis formed Lucifer. Whilst The Oath was a much-celebrated band, she wasted no time in creating a new beast to go beyond previous limitations.That beast is Lucifer and their debut album Lucifer I was called "a magical journey filled with intrigue" by Metal Hammer magazine, and hailed as a "proper, tried and true heavy metal record" by Terrorizer.
Eschewing the now well-worn clichés of the 'occult-rock explosion' in favour of a truthful and tempestuous re-imagining of classic 70s proto-metal and turbocharged blues, the eight songs on this band's debut album crackle and fizz with burgeoning
energy and the compelling conviction of music made for all the right reasons. Lucifer are currently on tour in the USA with High on Fire and Pallbearer and will head back to Europe for their headlining show, followed by the tour with Paradise Lost and Tribulation
