Lavadome Productions will release the HORROR GOD/TECHNE split CD on November 20. This eight-track album which presents takes great lengths to show how art can manifest if bands have the chops and perseverance to place expression and originality above all else.

Horror God and Techne each contributed four tracks to the album, all of them loaded with equal amounts of monstrous riffs and intensity. The similarities end there as each band retains their own sound and style throughout the split.

Album pre-orders and streams of Horror God's "Dust" and "Conviction by Techne are online at:

Horror God offers three brand new originals and a ripping cover of "Sinking into Transparency," from Canadian death metal band Purulence. A true, but rewarding challenge.

With two full-length albums under Horror God's belt, the new material is a continuation of the band's thrilling musical journey. The tracks are indicative of Horror God's evolution as the band continues to expand its sound and push beyond the trappings of recycled death metal. The band showcases the ongoing artistic process of creating music that remains rooted in tradition, yet simultaneously progressive.

We won't make any comparisons to other bands here. Just listen and embrace. Lavadome Productions will release Horror God's new full-length studio album in 2018.

Techne and their music, that's another story altogether. This is a band that thinks outside the box and is not searching for ways to find its place in the death metal scene that their counterparts in Horror God have so successfully accomplished. Those willing to listen intently will discover a band that has embraced the entire spectrum of death metal, but transcend its stereotypes.

Techne is intense, dark, oppressively disturbing and slightly industrialized.

The band's contribution to the split is surreal and proves that extreme music can rife with complexity and technicality, yet accessible to the listener. Art such as this needs no label. Techne approached this release with one goal - to permanently imprint the music - and the atmosphere it creates - on the listener's brain. Mission accomplished. Unfortunately for Techne fans, it's "Finita la Commedia" with this release.

The art for the split CD has been created by talented Russian artist Kirill.
