KVAEN is a solo project by Jakob Björnfot (The Duskfall , Devil's Force).
Black Speed Metal with Pagan/Viking metal influences describes the bands unique sound.
Their debut album THE FUNERAL PYRE will be out in late 2019 and will have feature some of the greatest musicians in the business such as Perra Karlsson (Deströyer 666, In Aeternum, Nominion) on drums and Sebastian Ramstedt (Necrophobic) on guitar solos among others..
Black Lion Comments: "Jakob has been a long time personal friend of us and we've talked about working together ever since our first meetings at various events, spanning many years back, Jakob approached us reg Kvaen in 2018 early but the time wasn't right so we kept contact and finally the stars have alined."
Jakob comments:
"There were quite a few labels that wanted to release my album. In the end, it's all about what your gut says. If it feels right, do it.I have known Oliver for years, he is really dedicated and made a big step up in this disgusting business last year. None the less, I ammore than happy that someone wants to release my music so we discussed and finally came to terms. I hope that you will enjoy this piece ofTornevalley darkness.
