According toThe Pulse Of Radio, KORNwill join the ranks of other world-famous SonyMusicartists when"The Essential Korn"is released on May 10. The two-disc, 29-song collection will feature classics from the band such as"Blind","Shoots & Ladders","Got The Life","Freak On A Leash","Falling Away From Me","Here To Stay","Alone I Break","Did My Time"and many more, including the recent"Oildale (Leave Me Alone)"from the band's latest effort,"Korn III: Remember Who You Are".

KORNhas actually not been withSonyMusicfor its last three albums. It signed withSonyin 1994 and issued its last record through the company,"Take A Look In The Mirror", in 2003.

GuitaristJames "Munky" ShaffertoldThe Pulse Of Radiothat 17 years into its career,KORNstill finds new fans by bringing its music all over the world. "Last year we went to South America and we did some shows, and did some countries that - never played before," he said. "Peru and Ecuador, I mean, great, great people - some of the best fans in the world. There was 300 people at the Lima, Peru airport. Man, there were police holding them back! We're like, 'What? Who is it? Oh, it's us? They're here for us?' But seriously, like, you've got to go to them."

Shaffersaid last week thatKORNis already prepping the follow-up to last year's"Korn III", with the new album possibly out by next spring.

KORNis currently off the road, but will appear atPointfestin St. Louis on May 15 andRock On The Rangein Columbus, Ohio on May 21 before hitting the European festival circuit.
