Gang of Four have invited Kagoule to join them for a show at London's Islington Assembly Hall in conjunction with the Women's Equality Party (WE) on November 6 2015. The highly rated Nottingham trio released their debut album in August this year which shot to number #8 in the Official UK Album Charts and was triumphantly received by both fans and the press including rave reviews in MOJO, Clash, NME, Kerrang!, DiS and RockSound plus an honourable inclusion in the Rough Trade Album Club. The Nottingham three-piece have forged a notorious live reputation after recently touring Europe with Sub Pop's METZ and previously sharing stages with the likes of The Who, Johhny Marr, Sleaford Mods, Drenge and The Wytches. The gig will see Gang of Four headline with Danielle Perry (Absolute, Q) spinning records between live sets. Also playing the event are Manchester's PINS.

Lucy Hatter (Kagoule) says: "It's unbelievably important to have organisations like WEP active: no matter how far we think we've progressed in terms of equailty we still have so far to go, especially in the music industry. It's an honour to be able to support a cause I care about by doing something I love."

Andy Gill (Gang Of Four) says: "Gang of Four has always been interested in describing the world and its power imbalances. The Women's Equality Party has been formed to tackle the biggest imbalance of all. Women are not equal to men anywhere in the world. This imbalance hurts everyone and everything, including, of course, the music industry which overlooks a lot of female talent and creativity to the detriment of that female talent, the industry and anyone who cares about music." Speaking about the selection of PINS and Kagoule for the London show, Gill says; "PINS are a great new band- their song 'Girls Like Us' is permanently playing on our tour bus. Kagoule are cool and they know it- the new album is highly addictive'.

Gang of Four came into being in 1977 and its first phase, incorporating several changes of lineup, lasted until 1983. Their debut album Entertainment! ' voted in Pitchfork's top ten albums of the 70s, equally beloved by the likes of R.E.M., Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana and LCD Soundsystem- felt like a blast of ice-cold water, both in form and content. Gill and King made two more albums in the 90s and another in 2011, Content. When King left the project, a reinvigorated Gill seized the opportunity to reimagine Gang of Four from the ground up. As guitarist, composer, producer and lyric writer, he was and remains the band's driving force.
