Celebrity Hair and Make-up Artist, Jen Farhood, has launched a YouTube channel - Youtube.com/jenfarhood - where she brings viewers on set to show them how to get the look for whatever job she's working on. Location destinations showing diverse aspects of the industry include Oscar week in Hollywood, CA, a wedding in Canada, and photo shoots in Puerto Rico and South Beach, FL. The beauty tutorials featuring make up application and hair styling are straight to the point (under 4 minutes), and you'll see what techniques, tools and products are required to achieve the featured look, with a glimpse of what it's like behind the scenes on set.

Jen's channel also features clips of her work including TV programs, music videos, and commercials. Videos on the channel also feature Farhood on the other side of the lens, and one clip in particular shows when she was featured as a guest on The View, for her skilled airbrushing technique (where she demonstrated examples of beauty make-up, tanning, and body paint).

As Jen explains, "With the high definition images being so sharp on Smart TV's these days, airbrush make-up is the only form of make-up application that doesn't translate to camera, because it's made up of tiny dots of color, and a TV image is made up of pixels, so they go hand in hand."

Jen has worked with icons including Jon Bon Jovi, The Police, and Smokey Robinson to name a few. She was also the personal make-up artist for Olivia Newton-John, and Rob Halford of Judas Priest for several years before becoming a mom of two children in 2012. Farhood states "People always say what a fun job I have, and I can't argue at how fortunate I am to be traveling the world, doing what I love. I didn't see any beauty tutorials on YouTube that took you on set, so I figured that would be an interesting angle to develop a behind the scenes look into my work life. This channel is truly a labor of love." She hopes to add several videos per week in the near future.

Jen began her career working in the music industry doing promotions and marketing at rock radio stations, and record labels (including BMG) in her native Ottawa, Canada. She doubled as the Talent Liaison and Hair and Make-up Artist on 'The Tom Green Show', before the program became a cult phenomenon on MTV. "Growing up in a small town like Ottawa gave me the opportunity to meet some great people before they were famous in the early-mid 90's. Alanis Morrisette was a pop star before the age of 17 in Canada, and I would see her often. Tom Green still remains a close friend, he helped me get into the TV broadcasting program in college by hiring me to host a segment for a TV show he was producing at the time. I met Taylor Hawkins, now drummer of the Foo Fighters, through a mutual friend the same night I met my husband when I was scouting bands for The Tom Green Show at a local club."

Farhood was also the Make-up Director at a modeling agency before moving to the United States in Y2K, where she formed the tour publicity division of renowned music PR firm, Chipster PR & Consulting, Inc., and was the Tour Publicist for bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden andMotörhead to name a few. She built up her make-up and hair styling clientele upon her arrival.

Jen has recently also been named the Beauty Advisor for a brand new hair care line, called KerMax, which consists of four products: shampoo, conditioner, serum and a day foam. "Kermax naturally reduces the appearance of thinning hair making it shinier, healthier looking, fuller looking and more voluminous. The results I've seen first hand are remarkable, and I've been recommending it to all my clients!" KerMax is currently available at CVS online atcvs.com/kermax and is on shelves in locations across the country.
