New festivals crop up all the time over the UK and sometimes you barely even notice announcement's or realise that any event is happening close to you. Metal Temple lists the top 10 UK festivals you should be attending this year, the list covers everything from Hard Rock to Grindcore and all day festivals in tiny venues to huge festivals at country houses.

10. Incineration Festival

A much smaller equivalent of Norway's Blast Fest head's to London in the form of Incineration Festival. Extreme Metal favourites' TAAKE, CARACH ANGREN, ANAAL NATHRAKH, NARGAROTH and many more take over The Garage's stage for one day and will truly rock you to the bones. If you are an extreme Metal fan you are certainly expected to be attending.

9. Outbreak Festival

Not to be confused with the Coventry house music festival, Outbreak Festival is one of the most hyped small festivals around to this date, bringing over much loved Hardcore bands from around the world. The festival takes place in April at The Vox, Leeds where bands such as BACKTRACK, COLD WORLD, STICK TOGETHER, NO TURNING BACK and tons more. The festival always sells out so it is recommended that you get a ticket fast.

8. Rebellion Festival:

Blackpool turns into Punk paradise when Rebellion Festival arrives at the seaside resort, the indoor Punk festival at The Winter Garden becomes home to much loved bands such as NOFX, KILLING JOKE, STIFF LITTLE FINGERS, BIOHAZARD, THE SELECTER with hundreds more to choose from. The festival is all ages so everyone can have a bit of the Punk action, so if you're 13 or 54 you can still rock a Mohawk and join the mosh pits.

7. Temples Festival

6. 'Kin Hell Fest

With an upgraded venue and even bigger bands than ever before, 'Kin Hell Fest has caught everyone's attention with Grindcore giants NAPALM DEATH headlining. Also playing The Vox, Leeds is ANAAL NATHRAKH, MASSACRE, LOCK UP, ONSLAUGHT, PENTAGRAM (CHILE) and a huge amount more playing with them over the 3 date period, it's sure to be full of blast beats and low growls. It may be a tough decision between Temples Festival and Kin Hell Fest but Kin Hell Fest is a definite for anyone who loves their Grindcore and Death Metal.

5. Damnation Fest

With its 10 year anniversary happening this year, it's no doubt that Damnation Festival would pull something heavy out of the announcements. The almighty BOLT THROWER head over to the Leeds University venue for one night supported by RAGING SPEED HORN which is already enough to make you want to invest in a ticket, only two bands have been announced so far with tons to go!

Though the bands are amazing at bloodstock, the entertainment in the camp sites and the medieval fighting is not one to be missed either.
