HOUSTON, TX BANDS: Post Hurricane Harvey Report.
September 4, 2017
Houston, Texas bands AZRAEL'S BANE, LOVE N WAR and MASQUED have checked in with the following post hurricane Harvey updates:
Azrael's Bane (vocalist Trey Gadler)
All of us in Azrael's Bane and our families are all fortunate enough to be safe and healthy with no significant losses. During this time of devastation and catastrophe, we have all witnessed the best that our community has to offer. We have witnessed many random acts of heroism and compassion by our community's citizens, first responders and regular people from all over the country that have come down, rolled up their sleeves and pitched in to rescue those in need. Our city is a mess but it's citizens are resilient and we will come through this stronger than ever. We would like to try and give back and help our neighbors in some small way. We will be participating in a few benefit concerts to be announced at a later date and beginning Monday, September 5th, we will have the original pressings of both of our cds "Wings of Innocence" and "Modern Day Babylon" available for sale on our websites with 100% of proceeds excluding shipping going directly to Hurricane Harvey relief charities. If you already own a cd but would like to help please visit one of the many charities that are helping the less fortunate in our community. We are particularly fond of the following fundraiser: www.youcaring.com/victimsofhurricaneharvey-915053

Love N War (guitarist John Adams)
Our experience with hurricane Harvey was to pack up a rental car and drive to our Lake House South of St Louis, Missouri where we are recording the new Love and War cd "Edge of the World". We were thankful that our neighborhood did not flood and were able to escape any of the carnage. We are praying for all of Houston and our rock and roll family there, all our rockin brothers and sisters who were flooded out and lost what they had!
Love N War (vocalist Jeff Vandenberghe)
Had a crazy experience with Hurricane Harvey. We watched our streets turn into canals with air-boats and wave runners floating by what used to be my front yard with water coming right up to my front door. We were really blessed to not have had any home damage as my neighbors weren't so lucky. First responders were awesome with lots of people helping others.

Masqued (Guitarist Eric Halpern)
I'm glad to report that Masqued has made it through Hurricane Harvey without any major problems, although it has been a major inconvenience. A couple of us had to temporarily evacuate our homes, but luckily, there was no serious damage. We have also had reports that our studio was not flooded.
In brighter news, we recently uploaded a trailer of our first video to our You Tube channel. The video is for our debut CD title track 'The Light In The Dark". The CD will be released worldwide in Fall, 2017 via Sleaszy Rider Records. We will be announcing an exact date soon.
