London hardcore trio Hiraeth have unveiled their brand new video "Happiness Aside" over at Hit The Floor!

Taken from their upcoming Timelines EP, which sees the band stepping away from the heavier elements of their past sound and embracing poppier influences. Guitarist Cohan Woods explains: "As the first release in the band's new direction, Happiness Aside blends infectious pop melodies with stadium filling rock energy. Leaving behind throat ripping vocals and string burning riffs, Hiraeth are steadily steering their sound towards radio friendly pop-rock, worthy of the most critical acclaim."

The EP will see release on September 19th, with "Happiness Aside" dropping on August 1st. Check out the video below:

Hailing from East London, Hiraeth are the love child of countless genres, cultures and influences that inhabit the city. It seems that they have now made it their mission to let the world hear the sound of their home town. Individually they have managed to channel their own interpretations of the city they love. With Daniel's forever busy and bustling Drum work, Cohan's angular guitar work, and Charles' ballad of loss and despair; Hiraeth are going to great lengths to create a snapshot of the world they inhabit.
Hailing from the suburbs of London, Hiraeth wasted no time erupting onto the scene in 2015 with their stunning debut EP "The World Ends With You". Quickly building a name for themselves in the underground Melodic Hardcore scene, and scoring solid reviews from the likes of Metal Hammer "Terrorizer".

With their new EP, "Timelines", the band have veered slightly away from the pummeling hardcore assault of their earlier work and began incorporating layers of melody and moments of pop, into a still blistering and infectious sound. Best highlighted on the lead single of the same name.

With a new EP firmly in the wings, and more shows booked across the year, Hiraeth are looking to make even bigger waves in 2016. Watch this space.
