Sentient Ruin Laboratories has dropped not one, but TWO smoldering blasts of aural cacophony on the masses in the last month making up once again for an even more epic beginning of summer for the label. Two releases we firmly believe you will love and which every fan of doom, sludge and of slowed-down and monolithic riff worship can not miss out on.

1. FUNERARY - Starless Aeon.
Debut album by this absolutely crushing and harrowing funeral doom band from Arizona, which is an absolute must listen and possession for any fans of bands like Corrupted, Mournful Congregation, Evoken, Indesinence, Disembowelment, Sunn O))), Thorr's Hammer, Grief, Moss, Bell Witch, Esoteric. Starless Aeon has been dubbed by the folks of the Roadburn Festival as "the perfect soundtrack to those bad days where everything goes wrong and you become hopeless; those days when you find yourself swimming in the ocean of sadness and sinking into an abyss of despair; the days where you struggle to cope with life", and with CVLT Nation stating that "even though the band comes from a really hot place, their music is as cold as ice. In 'Starless Aeon', the group unleashes all its malice and melancholy, through the torturing soundscapes of their five songs, without showing any mercy for the listener."

Starless Aeon is streaming in its entirety and is available to purchase in both digital and physical formats HERE.

2. ABATON & Viscera - Diade(ms) 7" EP

Abaton and Viscera/// are among the heaviest bands to ever see the light on Italian soil, and Diade(ms) (released Jun 23 2015) is to be considered the collision between the two darkness-fueled and angst-ridden worlds of these two bands, and the implosion of both bands' aesthetics into a single, soul-crushing, and pulverizing void of aural devastation. All lovers of the most dismal and crushing sludge/doom and fans of bands like Thou, Year of No Light, Amenra, Unearthly Trance and the such, should not miss out on this crushing, two-movement slab of suffocating heaviness.

CVLT Nation has labeled this 7" EP as "a colossal implosion of heaviness", while The Sludgelord, who streamed the release in its entirety described Diade(ms) as a "monolithic release".

A full stream and purchase links for both a digital version and the 7" have been set up over at our Bandcamp.
