EDEN CIRCUS'musical roots reach down to the nineties and they sound like modernpostmetal, postrockandprogrockbands.They're aware of that and don't intend to avoid it.
EDEN CIRCUSare complex, with a distinct affinity for technical details. At the same time they try to make music that would work even without the details.EDEN CIRCUSare angry and opulent, solemn and with a knack for kitsch. they laugh about it, and yet it happens anyways. No holding back ' when they're on stage and pathos and anger makes them smile, they know it was the right way to go. The band's music is inspired by every art that touched them. They play around with these influences until something new evolves, something good.
In the years after the band's formation, EDEN CIRCUS chose an unusual path. Noconcerts, no releases. The creative process ' trial and error, the gathering of ideas ' wasmore important than the urge to perform on stage. The band in its present state used toonly exist in it's members' imagination, there was no musical guideline to be followed.Every single member was also engaged in other musical projects that were not withoutsignificance, yet lacked longevity.
Through relocation from Göttingen to Hamburg in 2010, the final line-up came together. Asense of direction developed. It became more and more apparent, which musical paths theband wanted to take. Endless jam-sessions and periods of songwriting suddenly yieldedsong-material for a longplayer. Still the band decided against a studio-album. Instead, theychose to play live and allow their songs to mature before daring to take them to the studio.
After several concerts in 2012 and 2013, played with bands like Nihiling, Zen Zebra,Galaxy Space Man and Panama Picture, the first longplayer was recorded and producedby the band themselves in different studios (Peermusic/Monochrom/Dying Lizard).
