Experimental metal seven-piece dropbunny are pleased to announce the release of their second album, "IO".

Mixed at the award winning Woodstock Studios (Coco Rosie, Augie March, John Butler) by Cameron Trewin, and mastered by metal heavyweight Ue Nastasi (Slipknot, Lamb of God, Clutch), this 18 track epic is darker, stranger and more confronting than anything the septet has released to date.

Continually pushing their musicality to new heights, dropbunny supplement their crushing guitars, mind-bending rhythms and roaring vocals with violins, sitars, xylophones and electronics, including ad-hoc instruments made from rat traps, fish tank motors, and a power saw. "IO" covers broad influences from jazz, math-metal, prog, folk and electronica to create a diverse yet coherent whole. These elements contribute to make a furious yet eerie psychotropic landscape that explores the darker side of the human psyche. The album also comes with an unusual dropbunny videogame, where players use sound to navigate an infinite space - showing that their creativity stretches beyond any single medium. The album artwork was createdby renowned Melbourne artist Karai Pantsu, and contains a mess of puzzles and hidden messages. dropbunny have pulled no punches in an attempt to create a piece of art that can seriously fuck you up.
