Having hidden among the shadows for many years, awaiting the designated time, COVEN returned to the live circuit with wicked thunder at Roadburn Festival this past April. With two further successful live performance under their cloaks courtesy of Muskelrock Festival in Sweden and Northwest Terror Fest in Seattle, it's safe to say that COVEN have truly risen out of the abyss and are preparing to once again destroy minds and reap souls.

Mistress of ceremonies is the incomparable Jinx Dawson who has lined up a circle of faithful recruits to perform alongside her. As the unstoppable march of time brings us closer towards fifty years since the release of COVEN's highly influential album, Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls, the vivacious and bewitching spirit that made COVEN such a force all those years ago hasn't dulled one bit.

COVEN have today confirmed their first ever UK show, which will take place on Monday, September 11, 2017 at The Dome in Tufnell Park, London. Tickets are on sale now. With more shows in the pipeline on both sides of the Atlantic, COVEN are gearing up for a busy future with whispers of a new album already swirling, not to mention a tell-all book courtesy of Ms. Dawson slated to arrive in book stores sooner rather than later.

Jinx Dawson comments:

"I have escaped my clandestine chamber... It is time for me to walk the soil once again. I am most wickedly honoured that My Cherished Friends have made this Magick possible. With my Coven, we hope to spread the mystical signs and words of wisdom far and wide...Then forever my dark song will not be forgotten. Many Hails m/"

About COVEN:

It wouldn't be a stretch to consider COVEN to be the progenitor of what we now know as occult rock; years before every other heavy band proclaimed to be performing rituals on stage and draping themselves in powerful symbolism - Jinx and co were living it. The furore that surrounded the 1969 release of Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls persisted for many years afterwards, the band dogged by controversy everywhere they went.

The forward-thinking themes and powerful imagery explored by COVEN paved a pathway for those open-minded enough to follow. Their influence has been far reaching - from those who shy away from acknowledging this right through to those who worship unreservedly at the altar of COVEN. Jinx Dawson is also recognised as being the instigator of using the "sign the horns" with her hands - a call to arms and a symbol that is used frequently in heavy music across the globe.

COVEN will perform at the following shows:

August 19 - NecronomiCon - Providence, RI (w/Magic Circle, Beastmaker)
September 8-9 - Fall of Summer Festival - Paris, France
September 11 - The Dome - London, UK
October 31 - Metro - Chicago, IL
May 24-27 - Maryland Deathfest - Baltimore, MD
