Century Media artists from Lacuna Coil, Arch Enemy, Paradise Lost, Heaven Shall Burn and Insomnium were invited to the German Metal Hammer Awards in Berlin this past weekend. While Paradise Lost played an excellent live set, Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro presented the Metal Anthem of the year award to Arch Enemy for their song "War Eternal". Insomnium got the award for Up And Coming band of the year. And everybody had a great time partying with the amazing Metal Hammer crew, Century Media staff and bands.

Jens Prueter (Head Of A&R Century Media Records Europe): "I want to thank all our bands and Metal Hammer for a really great night. Metal Hammer deserves a special award for carrying the torch of metal for three decades! Congrats to chief editor Zacke and his team! I'm sure metal will stay strong in the next 30 years."

Niilo Sevänen (vocals, INSOMNIUM): "After 17 years and 6 albums it's very rewarding to get an award like this. It seems that if you work hard and believe in yourself then good things will follow. Thank you good people of Metal Hammer for this!"

Michael Amott (guitars, ARCH ENEMY): "Had a great time in Berlin last weekend at the Metal Hammer awards! We ended up walking away with the award we were nominated for, "Metal anthem"! Our "War Eternal" single and album hit the international metal scene hard this year and we're very grateful for the new level of recognition it has brought us. As always, there are a lot of talented people behind the scenes helping us create all of this and enabling us to bring it to the fans, and I'd like to give a shout out to them!
