Brick is a six piece heavy metal outfit from Sweden with a heritage in classic Swedish melodic metal. Hard riffs are combined with catchy refrains and old and new influences are mixed to produce a quite unique sound where old references are shattered and thrown out the window in an instant. Their music has been variously described as a combination of "The Haunted, At The Gates, Iron Maiden and fist-in-the-air rock n roll together into one".
The band say; "Are you into Dio? Iron Maiden? Kverlertak? Lamb of God? In each case you will find comfort in listening to Brick and the music will stick like hot wax to your privates."
Brick is a tough, small town band with a big city mentality. All the members of the band provide a solid foundation to the sound and the songs are generally born from Matte's heavy riffing with Johan sculpting out its melodies and lyrics. Most tracks are time pieces that reflect the bands thoughts in that moment and they will achieve even more clarity on their riotous upcoming sophomore album Done Counting My Scars due to be released via Sliptrick Records in the coming months.
