Anna Di Laurenzio, the tour manager for former IRON MAIDEN/WOLFSBANE frontman Blaze Bayley has issued the following update:

"The [BLAZE BAYLEY] band have now returned from the first leg of the European tour (which has been absolutely fantastic) but the last gig of the tour (in Belgium yesterday) had to be cancelled at very short notice and we would like to apologize to fans who traveled to the gig and arrived to find it canceled. We had no choice as [drummer] Larry [Paterson] was taken to hospital yesterday afternoon with severe blood inflamation and was kept in overnight. He is now back in the U.K. recovering.

Larry struggled through the second Swiss gig and the two German shows but despite his fierce/stubborn determination to soldier on, there was no way he could do the last gig in Belgium. Blaze and the rest of the band remained at the venue to personally let fans know why the gig had been canceled.

I will be rescheduling this gig for later in the year. We wish him a speedy drumming recovery."
