BLACKEST DAWNwas formed in 2005 out of the ashes of FINAL PUNCH. The first EP Artefacts was released in 2005. It was engineered by well known Producer and Guitar player Alexander Dietz, well known for his works with NEAERA, MAROON, HEAVEN SHALL BURN.

The first full Album Fear Of The Apocalypse was released in 2007, followed in 2011 by Soulgrinder which was released by District 763 Records.

Only 2 years later in 2013, BLACKEST DAWN released We Are Legions which was again mixed and mastered by Alexander Dietz of HEAVEN SHALL BURN. Following the huge success of We Are Legions BLACKEST DAWN was able to play amazing shows like the WITH FULL FORCE OPEN AIR 2014, MerchWar Rampage Tour 2013, Rock Unter den Eichen Open Air 2015, Chronical Moshers Open Air 2015, Metal Frenzy Open Air 2014, Metal Bash 2013 and many more.

Due to the loss of both guitar players in 2016, the Band had to take a short brake to introduce 2 new guys on both guitars.

In December 2017 BLACKEST DAWN finished the recordings of its forthcoming Album The New Guard, which is supposed to be released on 07.12.2018 with
Kernkraftritter Records".

We shared the stage with: NAPALM DEATH, VADER, SODOM, SUFFOCATION, MADBALL, MILKING THE GOATMACHINE, BORN FROM PAIN, DEBAUCHERY, WARBRINGER, CYTOTOXIN, MISERY INDEX, MAROON, CATARACT, and so on.
