Classic Hard Rock outfit, BLACK WHISKEY release 'Here To Stay' on Friday 12 April 2019. It is the fourth single from their acclaimed new album Dry Bones released on the same day.

Here To Stay is accompanied by a lyric video: https://youtu.be/s2KW97jdvyE

The album, Dry Bones, is available now in CD and digital formats from the band website https://blackwhiskeyuk.com/shop and will be available in digital format across iTunes/Amazon/Google Play from Friday 12 April.

Singer, Simon Gordon, said, "Here to Stay was yet another cool riff that Kev (Ingles - guitars) came up with. It's one of the heavier songs on the Dry Bones album and it's rhythmically a bit different from the rest of the album.

"Kev usually has working titles for all his riffs so that we know which one we are working on. Most of the time we abandon these reference titles once the lyrics are written but, for this one, I quite liked the idea of "Here to Stay." We're a straight forward rock band. Rock 'n' roll has been around for decades and it will always be around in one form or another. The lyrics just came out of a sense of having something fixed in an ever-changing world. Life can be a struggle at times, but we just keep going. I like to think there's a triumphant vibe about the lyrics.

"We recorded it in Spring 2017 with Guy Davies at Empire Studios in Guildford. The riff sounds really meaty and the vocals came together well. It was a lot of fun putting all the harmonies in there. It really lifts the whole song."

The last 2 years have been a tough road for BLACK WHISKEY. Guitarist, Kevin Ingles was diagnosed with cancer following the release of debut album, Heavy Train, and his on-going treatment and battle has taken its toll. Song writing, rehearsals and recording for the new album were all needed to be worked around his treatment plans and sometimes just the ability to function. But, the band are a tight-knit unit and have worked through these challenges to produce a hard-hitting album that is gaining much critical acclaim.
