BENIGHTEDare proud to announce their two stand-in musicians for this summer season after having parted ways with guitarist Adrien and bass player Alexis in the wake of this year's Hellfest.
The band gladly welcomes Bert (guitars) andPierre (bass/backing vocals). Bert plays with HIGH FOR A DIVE, SORASTRELLA, SOULBREEDER, and used to be a member of WINDS OF TORMENT. He had already joined theBENIGHTEDfamily during the Morbid Angel Tour (2011) and the Summer Sickness Tour in 2012.
BENIGHTEDare equally happy about Pierre joining for this festival season. He also participates in HIGH FOR A DIVE as well as in POUMON, AABSINTHE.
The band states: "This line-up is ready to destroy the stages this summer! We will begin in a week with the amazing Metal Days Festival in Slovenia! See you there guys and stay sick!"

"Carnivore Sublime" comes crushing like a 666 ton steamroller steered by an extremely enraged tyrannosaurus rex.BENIGHTEDset a new benchmark for brutality and viciousness. The listener is heavily beaten into submission by its relentless vocal onslaught, massive riffing, and close-to-inhuman drumming. With "Carnivore Sublime" the French have now surpassed their grinding masterpiece "Asylum Cave" (2011), which was based on a fictional concept of a delusional schizophrenic's obsession with deranged Austrian pervert Joseph Fritzl. Their new album tells another gruesome story from the mental abyss. In this musical case study, a borderline man descends into cannibalism. Yummy!BENIGHTEDwas brought to life by members from the French Death and Black metal bands DISHUMANIZED, DARKNESS FIRE and OSGILIATH joined forces in May 1998 for a more brutal, heavy and modern way of expression. When their first self-titled and self-produced full-length "Benighted" hit the streets in the year 2000, it created a strong impact. What had originally started as a side-project soon became the main thing. With every following album their fan-base grew. "Psychose" (2002), "Insane Cephalic Production" (2004), "Identisick" (2006), and "Icon" (2007) were equally enthusiastically received by adherents and critics alike. This was greatly helped byBENIGHTED's mind-blowing live performances at one of their extensive tours or playing at prestigious festivals such as Neurotic Death Fest, Hellfest, Summer Breeze and Inferno Festival among many others. "Carnivore Sublime" was once again recorded in Germany's Kohlekeller Studio continuing a very successful relationship and features haunting guest appearances by Niklas Kvarforth (Shining) and Michael Kern (Carnal Decay). This album will bang your heads and twist your necks!
