Seattle (WA) - Sticking its head out of the Riff Lair, BELDAM, the Virginia-based sludge metal band is reforming, relocating to Seattle in October 2017 and releasing new album Pasung on Horror Pain Gore Death Productions in early 2018. The band has also parted ways with its original bassist.

Sophomore album Pasung, the second release on Mike Juliano's powerhouse metal label HPGD Productions, was recorded at The Bomb Shelter in Nashville and engineered by the extraordinary Drew Carroll, the man who also recorded BELDAM's original five-song demo released in 2015.

"This album represents a much sludgier sound," said Grahm Reynolds, lead guitarist and songwriter. "We were really intentional in taking a full year to record and refine the songs for Pasung. There was heavy pre-production and a significant focus on tracking the record," added Reynolds. "The final result really delivers on who we are as a band."

Clocking in at just over 50 minutes of rocket-fueled, paint peeling sludge, Pasung, captures the best of BELDAM, while positioning the band to take it to the next level in Seattle. Stay tuned!

BELDAM released debut album Still the Wretched Linger in 2016 on HPGD Productions.
